Tuna pasta and tuna pasta bake

My own girls love this pasta

Serves 6

50 gr        Butter

50 gr        plain flour

300 ml     half fat milk

150 gr      grated cheese

1 tsp        dijon mustard

2 tins       tuna, in oil or water

500 gr     pasta,  penne or macaroni

Salt and pepper

First cook the pasta in boiling water, drain and put to one side. Melt the butter in a saucepan and then add the flour. Cook untill it bubbles and looks like sand. Add the milk slowly till you have a smooth sauce, cook on a low heat, add the cheese and mustard. Cook for a couple of minutes taste and add salt and pepper if you think it needs it.

Drain and add the tuna to the sauce. You can also add a tin of sweetcorn or a handful of frozen peas. Serve the sauce with the pasta and a bit of extra grated cheese. Yum.

If you like you can take it to the next level!! Mix the pasta and sauce together and then put in an oven proof dish. Sprinkle with grated cheese and smashed up taco chips or taco shells. ( we always one or two left over from taco night) put in the oven on 185c and bake untill golden and bubbly. Serve with vegetables or a salad.
