Homemade hamburgers

These hamburgers work well on a grill or in a frying pan can also be cooked in the oven. Burgers are easy to make at home and can have loads of different flavours as well, here is a basic recipe but i have also put a list of extra things to add.

400 gr Beef Mince

400 gr pork mince

1 onion

1 tsp salt

2 tbs tomato ketchup

2 tbs chopped parsley

1       Egg

1 large handful havregryn, porridge oats

Black pepper

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

In a large bowl put the oats and egg and mix to  paste then add all the other ingrediants. Mix with your hands (washed first and remove rings) or with a kitchen machine. keep on mixing till everything is mixed throught. shape into hamburgers as big or small as you need. put on a plate and cover and rest in the fridge for about 1 hour. Take out of the fridge and bring them up to room temperature and then cook. On a grill or frying pan.

For a different twist you can add,

teriyaki sauce a tiny bit of wasabi paste

as you are making the burger put a cube of cheese in the centre of the burger

You can also add a blog of blue cheese in the centre of the burger
