A perfect alternative to bread for lunch time, quick and easy to make.
Plain Scones
Makes 8 makes 150
225 gr plain flour 4.2 kg plain flour
3 teaspoons baking powder 255 gr baking powder
pinch of salt 4 tsp salt
50 gr butter Blue Flora 930 gr butter
150 ml milk Cold water 2.8 lt milk
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the butter and mix until it looks like breadcrumbs the add the milk a bit at a time until you have a dough. Roll the dough out on a floured surface about 1cm think and cut into circles, if you do not have a cookie cutter you can use a glass just as good.
Put on a baking tray with greaseproof paper and bake in a hot oven 220c for about 10 minutes until well risen and golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
